A Visit to the UU Malawi Campus

The newly opened Unicaf University Malawi Campus (UUMA) is a temple to the use of technology in the dissemination of academic knowledge.

The Unicaf University Campus is located in the heart of Lilongwe, in the Shoppers Mall Complex off Kirk Road. The spacious, unified structure houses under the same roof the entire campus facilities, providing the best conditions for acquiring internationally recognised, quality tertiary education.

The ground floor comprises of the Reception Area, the Administration Department, the modern Computer Laboratory, the unique, state-of-the-art Virtual Learning Unit, (which provides online access to the University’s study programmes), the Call Centre, (which handles all information requests), and one of the city’s latest social hot-spots, the UNICafé, which has already become a popular meeting point for students, staff and the Lilongwe public. An impressive, fully equipped University Auditorium, spacious lecture rooms, tutorial rooms and the tutors’ lounge are found on the upper floor.

The purpose built Unicaf University Campus building is equipped with the latest technological facilities, and allows wheelchair access to all public areas for students with mobility problems. It was designed as an eco-friendly building, with attention paid to minimising our environmental footprint, both in the construction phase and also in its daily operation. There are ample open spaces throughout the building that allow students to meet and exchange ideas, or discuss their studies in between classes.

Offering both online and blended delivery programmes, students can attend classes on weekdays, in the evenings and on weekends.

Accessible through all the major roads in Lilongwe, UUMA is conveniently situated near downtown, with most major malls, transportation hubs and business district just a few steps away.

Hotels, including the Lilongwe Sunbird, Cresta Crossroads, as well as charming local gems, such as the Kiboko and Mafumu Lodge, are a walking distance from the Campus.
